Advanced Industrial Zones

The United States struggles to build advanced manufacturing facilities. The local conditions for success — clear permitting processes, site readiness, talent, and, increasingly, access to electricity — are rarely concentrated in one place. Coordinating requires state capacity, public financing capabilities, and clear strategic goals. The Advanced Industrial Zones initiative is developing a new model for fostering next-generation industrial hubs, and working with states and municipalities to make it a reality. Center for Public Enterprise is a founding partner to the Advanced Industrial Zones initiative and provides support on policy research and state-level engagement.
