Our Work
Our aim is to grow the role for the public sector in the 21st century economy by helping to establish new public institutions that can overcome today’s economic constraints.
CPE works with local and state government agencies, advocacy organizations, researchers and academics to support successful design and implementation of public goods programs.
Our work is focused into three primary areas of research: energy, housing, and finance. If you’re interested in collaborating with us, please get in touch.
Energy

Center for Public Enterprise works with public power, state agencies, and local governments to expand public investments in clean energy, manufacturing, buildings, and infrastructure. We emphasize the potential of ambitious state and federal policy to unlock economic development opportunities.
Housing

Center for Public Enterprise works with local, state and federal agencies, including housing finance agencies and housing authorities, on developing innovative programs to grow their housing production.
Finance

Public finance is a powerful tool that can enable broad and inclusive economic development. Center for Public Enterprise works with public agencies on designing financing programs that expand their ability to meet the needs of the public.
