Today, the Center for Public Enterprise released a statement on the New York Power Authority’s Updated Strategic Plan, which guides the authority’s renewable project development.
The Center for Public Enterprise believes it is imperative that advocates for public development, the press, and the public have an accurate understanding of the barriers to developing the infrastructure that can deliver affordability. And in order for public agencies to succeed, we must also be ready to address those barriers. In the case of the Power Authority, those who are committed to success will be focused on interconnection challenges, the lack of transmission and distribution infrastructure, and financing constraints that limit the agency today.
